Traveling is an amazing thing to be able to do.  You will learn so much about yourself and the world.  I use to think traveling was either something that only rich people did or people who didn’t have any families.  A vacation was something that you did with your family to Disney world or maybe if you were lucky you go to go somewhere cool and exciting like a beach.  But then as I grew up and I traveled myself I realized that there is no set definition of it.  It is something that you can do at whatever financial level you are on and whenever in your life.  You can travel around your city or just a few hours away, you can get into programs and do amazing things that you wouldn’t have ever dreamt of, you can make money while you travel and live in many exotic places.  Traveling doesn’t have a specific dictionary definition there is no stereotype of a traveling you can make it how you want to make it.

I think the most important thing that you have to do is make sure that you are doing what you truly want to do.  If you are unhappy with something happening then change it.  Don’t feel like you have to follow anyone else’s agenda when you are going to a new place.  You are traveling there it will be your choices that will decide if you have fun or not.  If you are so focused on your plan or someone else’s plan that you don’t accept new experiences then you will not be happy.  If something isn’t working then don’t do it.  Embrace new experiences, embrace the challenges and worries of traveling.  Don’t feel like you must go to all of the “touristy” places.  Don’t feel like you must spend 100 dollars to do something that you will end of regretting.  You need to do what makes you happy whether that is sleeping in late, going to cool bars and participating in the nightlife, or going to every big tourist attraction that was listed on Google.  Do what make you happy.

I watched this music video today about the idea of “Most Girls”. Men glorify when women are not like most girls.  The song written by Hailee Steinfield talks about how she wants to be like most girls because most girls are smart and strong and beautiful.  She embraces how women should want to be like each other because all women truly are magnificent. People idolize and want to be like most men.  The idea of how men are strong and smart is so woven in our society and to be like most men is a good thing.  But to be like most girls is somehow bad. It installs this idea at least in my mind that if you shouldn’t be like most girls than to be a girl is a bad thing that you shouldn’t strive to be like a girl.  It pits women against each other and makes them almost hate one another. In reality, women are amazing and have so many strong and smart traits.  They are resilient and intelligent and peaceful and strong and resourceful and strong minded and so many other wonderful things that should be celebrated.  I would be honored to be like most girls.

Growing up I would feel insulted when someone would say I was like most girls. I would feel the need to separate myself from the stereotype of being a girl when I shouldn’t have tried to separate myself from all women.  I love that I am a woman!  I love my womanly body and my womanly mind and my womanly abilities.  Being a woman is so fucking awesome and I want to scream it from the rooftops.  Don’t let yourself believe that being like most girls or acting like a woman is a bad thing because it is wonderful.

 

It was the weekend after Thanksgiving, November 26th, 2016.  On top of the highest point in San Francisco, one peak of the twin peaks.  It was 7:00 am, the only day of the entire week that the clouds were pouring down little droplets of water.  I was wearing a white sundress with my black leather jacket and brown heels that resemble cowboy boots. He was wearing his favorite jeans with his most worn jacket.  Our immediate families were there all holding umbrellas and some draped in garbage bag like ponchos.  It seemed like we were on top of the world mostly because of the clouds and fog surrounding us.  I wore my great grandmother’s wedding ring and he wore a simple gold band.  It was perfect.  This moment would join us together forever, quite terrifying but also incredibly liberating.  I knew that I would love this man until the day I died.

What is the one thing that you most desire in this world?

Now think about how badly you want that and how much your life will improve if you receive it.

When you imagine that something, it puts hope in your heart, passion in your eyes, and it starts this burning fire within you.  It is interesting though because that something only has the power to do that for you.  If you mention that something to someone else then what would happen?  Maybe they get inspired by your vision and follow you; but you know what would really get their attention?

Is to talk and care about their something.  Every single person in this world has a something.  If you can find it then you will have their full attention and total influence.

 

Today is the 9th of June and I have quit my job, am best friendless, and will not be continuing my college education after 4 years.  But I am still the happiest I have ever been in my entire life.  I am happy because I feel free; am completely and totally in control of my life.  I would rather be broke trying to do something that I am infatuated with instead of working a job that I don’t believe in and absolutely hate doing.  My life is too short to be doing something that does not engulf my mind and my heart.  Some people may think this is moronic, to choose to live a life that I am free to do whatever I please where I am perfectly with my mind, body, and time than get a good “stable” job that I am utterly miserable doing where I spend my most valuable asset (my time) to make some other people rich.

  • Hundreds of amazing castles
• Great produce
• Golf
• Tons of Culture
• Google Facebook Apple Twitter and many more have their HQ of Europe in Ireland because of low corporate tax rates and skilled local workers
• Best Surfing in the world
• Great Music
• Interesting Sports
• No natural disasters
• No grudges with other countries
• Friendly People
• Drinking
• Great education
• Same Weather as USA
• Great working conditions/laws to work as far as hours compared to USA

Bad:

• Weather is not that great
• Probably need a car
• Cost of living is high

Good

• Norway
• United Nations’ Happiest places on earth came in second!
• Crime rate incredibly low-incarceration rate low and murder rate low
• Allemannsrett
  • freedom to roam
  • you can hike, tent, ect anywhere that is non-cultivated

Beginning analysis:

A good place to live when you are planning on living there for more than 5 years…Very expensive and too liberal.  Drinking at a young age and free healthcare.  Beautiful nature though, maybe this would be a great place to go vacation in.  Stay away from the cities and go camping a lot, be secluded.

 

 

 

Everyone loves exploring new places and traveling the world, or at least it seems like everyone has that wanderlust.  My finance and I are entranced in the crazy and absolutely beautiful whirlpool that is traveling.  We love it and cant get enough.  There is just one problem, similar to everyone else that wants to travel, we are flat broke (right now).  So we thought why cant we at least learn about and study this magnificent thing that we want to experience?  That is the purpose of this blog; I will post the countries that I research and explain what I love about them or don’t love about them.  This will help me and others to be able to learn and experience the world even though the financial necessity might be lacking.
